TELL US, “Technology Enhanced Learning Leading to Unique Stories” is a two stage European contest showcasing and rewarding technology products and services in the formal learning context. The contest, supported by DG Connect, sought to attract applicants offering new, potentially risky ideas, and proposing breakthroughs in TEL by showing the range of innovative and effective solutions available.
Over 92 entrants were submitted and an international jury was given the job of evaluating and ranking the submissions. This work has resulted in the selection of 16 regional finalists. The finalists, from nine different countries, provide an exciting insight into the current offer of innovative technology enhanced learning products and services currently being developed across Europe.
The main focus of the TELL US Awards is to help the 16 regional finalists, a selection of technology enhanced learning solutions already in use within formal education, to scale-up. The workshop at LINQ Conference will provide them with an opportunity to present and discuss their expansion plans with the rest of TELL US regional finalists as well as other experts in learning and innovation.
The workshop will have the following structure and schedule:
- 12:00-13:30: TELL US regional finalists pitches about their products
- 14:30-16:00: Work session. The participants will be split into four different groups according to their type of product first, and to their European region of interest afterwards. An expert will be assigned to every group, and will be in charge of helping the participants to define their goals and ambitions for their products
- 16:00-17:30: TELL US regional finalists pitches about their business development plans
First and third sessions will be informative about the participants’ products and business development plans, while the second will be an interactive, collaborative working session.
We’ll ask the participants to develop a 5 minutes pitch of their products or services. During the workshop the goal is for them, with the help of the experts, to come up with a 5 minutes pitch of their business development plan.
After the workshop, the participants will further elaborate their business development plans with the help of the mentors through online asynchronous collaboration tools.
